Power use can follow the cooling demand.
Furrion describes its variable-speed technology as improving cooling efficiency and reducing operating noise. Actual energy use depends on the model, weather, RV and settings. Off-grid operation still needs enough battery and inverter capacity.

More than matching the roof opening.
Check the roof structure and clearance, electrical supply, ducted or non-ducted air delivery, thermostat/control compatibility and sealing requirements. A unit intended for one arrangement is not automatically a drop-in replacement for another.
